Reunion Time

So there is a fantastic story to go with these pictures. Great Grandma Vera Sewell passed away July 2, 2010. Her mother, Mary Ellen Newton had died when Gma was only 2 years old. For 90+ years we have had very little information on the Newton side of the family. In October Emma was perusing family history information online and came across an email address for Christa Bushmann. She seemed to know quite a bit about Wignalls, which was a surname that had surfaced. Through correspondence it was determined that we were all related. The Wignalls were relation to our Newtons. This was proved mainly through family letters Christa had and names Gma had recorded in her personal history. As further proof Uncle Vernon had found a bible that contained Wignall names, the same names Christa had. The bible is shown below.

This house that the family reunion was held at was built in 1856 by William Wignall, brother to Betty Wignall, mother of Jane Newton (grandmother to Vera Sewell).
Miracles come in many shapes and sizes.
