Swine Flu Prevention

If you have ever gotten sick by watching someone eat like a pig then you might have been hit with the swine flu. It is in our best interest to not watch other people eat and don't allow others watch you eat thereby preventing further spreading of this flu bug.

Cosette is 5

Here's the butterfly pinata that was made for Cosette.

Playing "Bug, Bug, Butterfly"

Cosette's butterfly cake

Dressed up in her goodies. She loved all the lip gloss, fingernail polish, and hair doo-dads she received.

The kids made caterpillar necklaces out of cut-up straws and paper circles while they waited for guests to arrive.

Wipe Your Bum...

There's no picture to go with this story, and it's probably better that way.

Today was the most beautiful day you could have asked for. We don't normally play outside on Sunday, but since it was so beautiful and it was Easter...we spent some time out in the yard. Isaac had enjoyed the dirt pile from our weekend project.

Dinner started, Isaac was too interested in pot roast and potatoes. He started wandering around the table and Emma noticed he had quite a bit of dirt on the back of his pants. She told him, "Go outside and wipe off your bum."

The next thing we knew, Isaac was standing in the grass with his pants AND diaper off. He promptly sat down and started "wiping his bum" in the grass. After he was done with that and before Rob could get to him, he was back sitting in the dirt, bare bum and all!

We couldn't stop laughing!

Weekend Warrior

The new garden box...or maybe just a big dirt box for the kids to play in...
The dirt had to come from somewhere, so we removed it from the lower flower bed of the retaining wall. Rob built a new, inverted wall with seating for...
The fire pit!!!

What we've been up to

This is my morning 2 days a week. Cosette goes to preschool and watch her teacher's boys. Owen, of course, being one day younger than Isaac. I've probably mentioned all this before. And now to add to the fun is a girl just weeks younger than Isaac and Owen. Our mornings are crazy, but they're fun! I'm just thankful I don't have triplet 3-year-olds, an 18-month-old, and 6-month-old of my own.

This pas weekend held a real treat for the kids and for my Mom. Mom turned 50 and to surprise her, we flew down for General Conference. The kids LOVED the airport...all 4 of them we were in (don't we love layovers?!) The kids were a dream on the plane, even falling asleep on the second leg going down and coming back up.
I don't know why, but I never pulled my camera out while in California...hopefully Grandma took some pictures I can post.
With Cosette's birthday coming up, Grandma gave her present early. I had intended on waiting a week to let Cosette open it, but she managed to find the box and took matters into her own hands. Thanks Grandma! She loves it!

April Fools

When Rob got to work this morning before anyone else ( like normal), he proceeded to place small sticky note papers on the underside of all the computer mouse in the office (6 total). Then he went back to his office and listened to the chattering..."I think something is wrong with my computer"... I might have gotten the virus everyone has been talking about"..." I am going to restart my computer to see it that helps, it may not have loaded correctly." Then his boss figured it out and you could hear this loud "AWWWW"  then he went around and told everyone how to fix it. Later he went into Rob's office and said " that was a good one." How he figured it out we will never know.

What jokes did you see hear or experience?

Kid Wisdom

  • 6.9.15 (Sitting in Emma's office writing a string of abc's) Mom: You have to put a tail on the "u". S: You doesn't have a tail, Reesy has a tail.
  • 6.8.15 Isaac: You know, the grass-watering hose thing? Ethan: You mean sprinkler? Isaac: Yes, the sprinkler.
  • 4.1.15 S: I not sleepy {yawn}. Emma: You just yawned. S: What's "yawn" mean? Emma: That you're sleepy. S: I not sleepy!
