While Emma was at youth conference for two days, Rob took the kids camping with their Aunt Janet and Uncle Tate and all their kids and a few friends. We had a BLAST. It was Ethan's first time camping. We like to take our kids out camping before they turn one year old and Ethan is no exception. He loved it. Below is Cosette fishing with her cousins Faith and Shandell, three peas in a pod.Nearing the end of our camping trip, Isaac is helping his favorite uncle roll up one of the tents. This is the famous Uncle Tate, cowboy extraordinaire.
On the trip we past several fields of flowers. Yellow and white flowers as far as the eye can see in some cases. I have no idea what they are but it took my breath away. You just can't go a full camping trip for the first time and not have your picture taken like a hundred times. Here is Ethan and his larger than life Dad. Fun was had by ALL.
Rob, Cosette, Isaac, and Ethan slept in a tent and slept very well I might add. We got in bed about 10:30pm after roasting marshmallow's and singing songs by the camp fire and didn't get up till 6:30am for Ethan and 8ish for Cosette and Isaac. It helped that we all slept on an air mattress with plenty of covers.

The Trip
Here are some pictures from the trip. The kids and Emma drove down June 12th so they could participate in Grandma and Grandpa Sewell's 50th anniversary party on June 14th. The rest of the week was spent with friends, the Rauch's, Jacquez's, Frost's...
June 19th, Emma, the kids, and Mom (Elaine) took off to Arizona. We had a pleasant day with Grandma and Grandpa Frost.
Friday morning, June 20th, Rob was picked up from Sky Harbor Airport and everyone made their way to Mesa for family festivities.
In the end, we left Sunday, June 22nd for the trek home. We were meeting up with a friend in St. George that had brought Rob's motorcycle that far. We left later than we wanted, forgot about losing an hour in time changes, took the long, but scenic route, and ended up two hours later than we had told him. We drove through the Grand Canyon and paid $25 to go through Zion's National Park, which we hadn't want to do.
Because we were so delayed, we couldn't make it home Sunday. We slept in a couple different parking lots and made it home 9:00AM Monday morning. Rob and I are still recovering from that one!

Fun in Highland
After the anniversary party, there were TONS of meatballs left. That's what we had Sunday night for dinner. Isaac is demonstrating how he likes to eat them - whole!
Not to be out done, Cosette had to get in the camera too. Here's her version.
We're just sitting around in the living room have a grand time. This was Tuesday night, June 17th, I think.
Isaac is trying to be just like his Great Grandpa.

Oh what do you do in the summertime?
We visit friends and family in California and Arizona. It was only 100+ degrees the whole week, not too bad.
In the picture of Cosette by the flannel board, she was given the assignment of preparing a lesson for Family Home Evening. She and Aunt Nic worked on it for about 30 minutes and wrote everything down. They practiced three times. Nothing Cosette said was what she and Nic had talked about. That's a four-year-old for you. She was so matter of fact though with what she did discuss - families.
Grandma and Grandpa Sewell's 50th anniversary was June 14th. We had a party for them in Fontana. That was the first reason the kids and I (Emma) took ourselves down south.
Cosette, Isaac, and Ethan got to spend lots of time with their cousin Mira. They all enjoy each other a lot.

First day of summer
For the first day of summer I thought how fun it would be to take a nap in the shade. So I hung our hammock between our quacking aspen and our apple tree. At a high of 85 degrees it was pure bliss.

You Are Cinderella!
Dignified and hard working. With a gentle and soft-spoken manner you have something many people don't. Patience. Even through the moments of heartbreak you're still able to hold onto all of your hopes and dreams. Bide your time; your dream will come true.

Sunset in Pocatello
Sunset from our backyard at about 9pm. That's the crazy thing about living so far north...the sun doesn't go down until it's 9pm or later.
Ethan is trying out his new found legs anyway that he can. He's kind of like a puppy in that he likes to crawl around on the floor under the kids' stools to find stuff the dropped and I didn't pick up yet...
Please, Mom, can't I got outside just this once? I promise I won't get dirty or eat snails!

Ending May
Here's my trio! Ethan is sitting up quite well now. I'm still amazed he is old enough to do that! Isaac's favorite spot to sit and think, or eat, or rest, or ...
Where did Ethan go? There he is! Great spot for hide and seek.
Swimming in the "pool".
We went for a walk Sunday, June 1. This is Ethan nice and strapped it. He's been having a hard time with his teeth since Saturday. We stayed home from church with him because he was spiking a 103 fever.
